When corporate Hitlers lie on their 10-Q form and allege they’re self-insured and they’re not because the Dept. of Industrial relations revoked their certificate and never reinstated it, it’s a 10B violation of the security & exchange. My former company cooked the books, Authur Anderson the accounting firm for Enron did their books for Consolidated Freightways. means no workers compensation insurance, retention policies one would still need to be self-insured, it’s binding in court if they lie.

The amount you received from SSDI is a function of what you paid in. If your annual earnings were in the $75,000 range your monthly SSDI benefit will be in the $2,000 + range. If your annual earnings were in the $20,000 range you are more likely to be looking at $1,000 or $1,250 per month.

Sam please email me if you know of an honest ortho surgeon, I have multiple spinal injuries and workers comp has denied me any medical intervention. I am in severe chronic pain, on oxycontin and amytriptyline, which only gives me minimal relief, My back and tailbone were fractured and the only treatment I have received is cortisone shot, I am unable to due physiotherapy due to severe pain that escalates with exercises. WCB has denied any help and states that my multiple spinal injuries are minor

I have 2 Ortho surgeons that say I need 2 total knee replacements, & Acl repair but Workers comp is sending me to a Chiropractor to look at me for 15minutes to say there’s nothing wrong with me! Isn’t that fraud too. It will be my 3rd IME here in Wa State in 3 yrs. I’m 38 & can hardly walk, L&I in Olympia Wa. only hires people known as “IME Whores”
Can you help me get new knees?

I apologise for continuing to harp on your comments. You seem to have such a solid grasp on how the system works. I don’t understand how it is allowed to continue as it is. I have put in, and won 4 appeals, and I still struggle to pay the rent on an apartment. Less than 4 years ago, I had a lake home, a business, all the usual toys, and accounts with money in them. Talk about wishing for the past. My kids all carry a private insurance now. It has been an expensive lesson.

Thanks for the message, when you work side by side with your men and count them as family it is hard to see them struggle.
Workers comp is a false sense of security for both the employee and the employer. They are like economic parasites consuming cash and providing little or no services. It’s a legalized form of extorsion on the employer and racketeering on the employee. To intimidate a hard working family man to settle a case for fear of bankrupcy is criminal in my book.

Whoa!! An employer that honestly understands what goes on, and has the guts to say so. My hat is off to you. And you’re right. All workers believe they are insured, and use their own resources to exist while waiting for the red tape to all be cleared. By the time we are aware there is no help coming, most have used all their money, are broke, and reduced to being willing to accept whatever scraps finally come.

What is extremely frustrating as an employer is when an employee has an injury and it is legitimate and the workers comp company just stone walls your employee. There is nothing you can do as an employer to help the injured worker. I have gone as far as to call the workers comp carrier and threaten to drop them as a carrier and they just don’t care. Their first move every time is to just deny the claim and then starve out the employee until they settle for peanuts.
