Does anyone know how long it would take to collect on a workers comp case?
I was injured on the job almost 3 years ago.
I sued and both parties signed all papers that were necessary for me to receive my money. Both sides agreed on the amount which was not very much.
I’ve been calling and leaving several messages with my attorney’s office to see whats the hold up. No one returns my call.
The last time I actually spoke to someone was 2 months ago. She says my case has to be presented and approved by the worker’s comp board before I receive my settlement.
This was some time ago now.
Does anyone know if this process usually take this long?
Thanks for your input.

It took a friend of mine 1-2 yrs. because of her boss.
May depend on the state you live in.
Suing may have slowed it up; but, I’d look for a different lawyer and/or seek advice from a free legal aid office; they’d know the laws for your state.
