How does a company in Texas work without any workers comp

….or financial liability?

I worked for a company that was a LLP. I was injured after being struck by a back hoe, breaking my pelvis and several ribs and doing permanent damage to my lung, I now have been taking medicine for 2 1/2 years for pain as well as breathing.

The company had no coverage or liability and now after 2 1/2 years he is attempting to file bankruptcy to avoid his responsibility for the accident. My personal insurance does not cover any of my bills since it is work related. I was fired the day that I received a limited release from the Dr.

My attorney filed a suit the day before the 2 year mark but I receive little information from my attorney.
